Như moves between the sculptural and the functional, exploring clay through observation of its behaviour and capacity for transformation. Drawing on her background in scenography, horticulture and gardening, she approaches clay as a dialogue between shaping and being shaped, guided by an interest in organic structures and natural cycles.
